A BRIEF INTERVIEW WITH THE GENTLEMEN BEHIND "MB GOLF EVENTS"

Can you describe your thought process behind establishing MB Golf Events?
With our years of experience in the golf business and our passion for golf tournament operations, we decided to start MB to partner with some of the finest resorts in the country to offer a first class tournament experience. Between the two of us, we’ve played in approximately 15 week long pro-ams and many more one day events and understand the importance of traveling with your members.
What makes MB Golf Events stand out from the competition?
We stand out from our competition by offering several different types of events. We don’t want to just be another pro-am company. Our long term plans are to offer events for amateurs only, professional only, collegiate, juniors and pro-ams.
What are some unique things a golf professional and his/her three members can expect when involved in an MB golf event?
We want to offer events at resorts that previously have not hosted pro-am events. We also like having events at PGA Tour sites and we play the tour course multiple times during the week. We provide customized tournament packages to give our guests the opportunity to pick their own gift.
What is the long range plan of MB? Do you have any plans on how you're going to continue to improve your business and secure it's success for the future?
Our long term goal is to build a full and diverse schedule. We are confident that a full schedule of tournaments that are affordable and creative will secure our future success. Like any business, customer relations and retention is based on giving a value to experience that exceeds the cost and expectations. That is our overall number one goal!
